  • ISEAC 2025 Call for Papers

The 2025 International Symposium on Education, Artificial Intelligence, and Cybersecurity (ISEAC) unites researchers, educators, technologists, students, and industry experts on February 26, 2025, to explore the latest advancements in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and cybersecurity, and its impact on education. The symposium features keynote addresses by renowned experts, a workshop on AI use in education, parallel presentation sessions, a hackathon, and a dedicated session for student presentations.

    • About the Symposium

The first ISEAC conference in 2023 was held online, with over 300 international participants, including educators, scientists, and researchers in fields like AI, computer science, and education. Attendees discussed emerging topics, such as generative AI in education and AI-assisted teaching. Keynote speakers—Prof. Dong-Seong Kim, Dr. Vladimir Mariano, and Dr. Reinald Adrian Pugoy—presented on generative AI and its educational potential. The event also featured a hackathon, showcasing innovative student projects from various Philippine universities.

ISEAC 2025 banners the theme “Constancy, Change, and Co-existence: Navigating the Interplay between Education, AI, and Cybersecurity in a Dynamic World.” This event is part of the Tri-conference organized by the UP Open University, alongside the International Conference on Open, Distance and E-Learning (ICODeL) and the International Symposium on ASEAN Studies (ISAS). With rapid AI advancements reshaping global education, the symposium delves into AI’s influence on education, the adaptation of educational systems, the impact of cybersecurity issues on communities, and ways for AI and education to coexist positively. Keynote speakers will include prominent experts in AI, education, and cybersecurity.

    • Topics Covered

ISEAC 2025 will feature panel and parallel sessions with the following topics:

      • AI in Teaching and Learning: How AI-driven tools are transforming teaching methods, learning experiences, and student engagement.

      • AI for Educational Access and Inclusion: The role of AI in creating more inclusive, accessible education systems, and addressing the digital divide.

      • Ethics and Governance in AI and Education: The ethical implications of AI in education and governance frameworks for its responsible use.

      • AI and Lifelong Learning: Exploring how AI can support continuous learning and professional development in a fast-changing world.

      • The Future of Work and AI in Education: Preparing students for AI-driven job markets and understanding the evolving role of education in workforce readiness.

      • AI-Enhanced Assessment and Feedback Systems: Using AI to enhance evaluation methods, feedback systems, and student performance analytics.

      • Collaborative Learning and AI: Investigating how AI can enhance or challenge collaborative learning environments.

      • Intersection of Cybersecurity and Digital Literacy in Education: Exploring the integration of digital literacy and cybersecurity education to enhance safe digital practices in an increasingly connected world.

      • Cybersecurity Challenges in Digital Assessments: Addressing the security risks of online assessments: methods to prevent fraud, data breaches, and system vulnerabilities in digital exam environments.

      • Artificial Intelligence in Cybersecurity Education: Leveraging AI and machine learning to enhance cybersecurity training and improve predictive capabilities for threat detection and prevention.

      • Data-Driven Educational Strategies: How AI and big data are influencing decision-making and personalized learning in education systems.

      • Sustainability and AI in Education: Examining how AI-driven educational tools can contribute to more sustainable educational practices.

      • Development of AI Systems for Education: This category focuses on innovative AI technologies developed to enhance educational practices. Submissions may explore system development, implementation, and the transformative impact of AI on teaching and learning processes.

We invite researchers, educators, young professionals, technologists, students, thought leaders, and lifelong learners to submit their conference papers that explore Constancy, Change, and Co-existence in the context of education, AI, and cybersecurity. We encourage submissions from diverse perspectives, disciplines, and regions to foster rich discussions on the evolving relationship between education and AI, as well as the impact of cybersecurity in education and communities. As a highlight of ISEAC 2025, we are organizing a special session for students to present their research and projects. The hackathon for students, early career researchers, and young professionals/technologists will also be part of the symposium.

    • Submission Guidelines

      • Submit an extended abstract, a maximum of 2 pages (about 700-1000 words) with references using the APA format in the conference platform: https://iseac.upou.edu.ph

      • All submissions will undergo a peer-review process, and accepted papers will be presented at the symposium and possibly included in the conference proceedings.

      • Accepted papers will be notified via email.
    • Pre-Symposium Workshop

A pre-symposium workshop, which is open to anyone, will be held a day before the symposium proper. The workshop, “Transforming Education with AI: Tools, Strategies, and Ethical Practices,” is designed to introduce participants to AI tools and technologies that are relevant to modern education. It aims to demonstrate how educators can effectively integrate these tools into their teaching practices, enhancing learning outcomes and classroom efficiency. Additionally, the workshop will engage participants in discussions on the ethical implications of using AI in educational settings. To ensure practical value, the workshop will also equip participants with hands-on experience using AI-powered educational tools, empowering them to confidently apply these resources in real-world educational scenarios.
